DRAFT v1.0 — FOR LEGAL REVIEW — NOT YET IN FORCE
Bracketed items [like this] are placeholders to be completed before publication.
Effective date: [●]
1. What this covers
This policy explains how LeadQor Canada Inc. ("LeadQor," "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on the LeadQor application (the logged-in product) and on our marketing website ([leadqor.com]). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads — like the fact that you're logged in.
2. Cookies in the LeadQor app (logged-in product)
The app uses strictly necessary cookies only — the ones the product cannot function without:
| Cookie type | What it does | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication | Keeps you logged in and ties your requests to your account | Session, or up to [●] days with "stay signed in" |
| Security | Protects against cross-site request forgery and other attacks; supports suspicious-login detection | Session |
| Preferences | Remembers settings such as your selected company (for users who belong to more than one business) and interface preferences | Up to [●] months |
| Preview / feature cookies | Temporarily enable preview versions of features or environments when you opt into them | Short-lived |
None of these cookies are used for advertising, and none track you on other websites.
3. Cookies on our marketing website
Our public marketing pages may use [analytics tool — e.g., a privacy-respecting, cookieless or first-party analytics service; confirm final tool before publication] to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This analytics is configured to avoid building individual profiles.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere on LeadQor properties.
4. Controlling cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you block cookies entirely, block third-party cookies, or clear them on exit (look under Settings → Privacy). Keep in mind that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the app: you won't be able to log in or stay logged in.
5. Why you don't see a cookie banner
LeadQor serves businesses in Canada (excluding Quebec) and the United States, uses only strictly necessary cookies in the app, and uses [only privacy-respecting basic analytics] on the marketing site. Because we don't serve Quebec or the EU/EEA/UK and don't use advertising cookies, no cookie consent banner is currently shown. [Counsel note: confirm this position against the final analytics tool selected and any change in served jurisdictions — if Quebec (Law 25), the EU/UK (ePrivacy/GDPR), or any consent-requiring analytics/marketing technology is added, a consent mechanism must be implemented first.]
6. Changes and contact
If our use of cookies changes materially, we'll update this policy and the "Effective date" above, and give notice of significant changes. Questions go to our Privacy Officer:
